What is Tetrabond technology?
Tetrabond is an intensive arc technology based on physical vapor deposition(PVD) process.Specialized arc technique has been developped by Huicheng Vacuum, that permitted super-hard and smooth DLC film deposition. Tetrabond coatings deposit on the surface at the below temperature of 150℃.
Tetrabond coating has a very high ratio of sp3, ranging from 80-90%. sp3 bonding is typical of natural diamond. Studies have shown that, sp3 score and the film hardness is directly related. Measurements show that the hardness range between 70 and 90 GPa, similar to the CVD diamond films. And the abrasion resistance be comparable to CVD diamond films.
The main application Tetrabond coating surface treatment can maching cutting tools for non-ferrous material. Tetrabond exhibits excellent performance when machining titanium aluminum, graphite, copper, FR4 PCB board and composite materials as well as wood, plastic, epoxy resin and certain-grade titanium nitride. Dongguan Huicheng Vacuum has developed a secure back-coating process, allowing the expensive tools repaired and recoated.
